Let My People Go
A long time ago in the Middle East
There was some Hebrew brothers couldn't get no peace
Working in the sun, getting beat in the back
And the man with the whip ain't got no slack
God sent Moses down to Egypt land
With a word in his heart and a rod in his hand
He stood before Pharaoh and he said God commands
For you to let my people go
Let my people go
I can't believe you said no with your clenching fist
You better let my people go
You don't want my God to get up in this
Now the same thing happens today
The devil's been beating us like Hebrew slaves
He's gotten to our mind, we get beat on our back
And it feels like a brother can't get no slack
But God sent the man who couldn't be beat
Though the devil put some nails in his hands and his feet
He died one day but rose again
Let my people go, well my Father's command
He said
Let my people go
I can't believe you said no with your clenching fist
You better let my people go
You don't want my God to get up in this
(Go down Moses)
(Go down to Egypt land)
(Tell old Pharaoh)
(To let my people go)
